The 5th International Police Conference "Science and Innovation vs. the State Security System"
International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services

13-15 April 2011, Warsaw

On 13-15 April 2011, representatives of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security participated in the “EUROPOLTECH” International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services and in the 5th International Police Conference "Science and Innovation vs. the State Security System” organized by the National Police Headquarters under the auspices of Jerzy Miller, the Minister of Interior and Administration.

The following representatives of the PPHS had their stands at the Fair:

  1. The team of Professor Andrzej Dziech of the AGH University of Science and Technology presented the results of the INDECT project (”Intelligent information system supporting observation, searching and detection for security of citizens in urban environment”).
  2. The team of Professor Edward Nawarecki and Professor Grzegorz Dobrowolski of the of the AGH University of Science and Technology presented the LINK/MAMUT system supporting crime intelligence analysis, which won the “Silver Police Star” award.

  • Professor Wiesław Lubaczewski, AGH University of Science and Technology: “MPI – A system for monitoring the Polish-language part of the Internet”
  • Professor Czesław Jędrzejek, Poznań University of Technology: “A tool supporting investigative procedures using automatic inference”
  • Gerard Frankowski, Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center: “Managing information and knowledge in services requiring an increased level of security"
